Do You Follow ?

.

“Rem tene, verba sequentur:
grasp the subject,
and the words will follow.
This, I believe,
is the opposite of what
happens with poetry,
which is more a case of
verba tene, res sequenter:
grasp the words,
and the subject will follow.”

Poem:

.

I had no idea what I was going to write

my mind couldn’t find a word just for spite

every word that came to mind was very weird

so I grabbed the word and the subject appeared

.

I read what I wrote and eureka: indecision

obviously my minds eye has terrible vision

the bane of my life, from eating, sleeping to writing

yet it’s good that all these choices make life exciting

.

never satisfied, always, what is the alternative

where is the sign that points to the affirmative

the back up is to have someone else to blame

just waiting for luck to call out my name

.

now to pick the  method to end this subject

too many ways, it will never be perfect

will a colored bow do the theme justice

direction, is it the crazy eight ball or a compass

.

indecision: the subject that never ends.
