Just One Person

“The purpose of poetry

is to remind us /

how difficult it is

to remain

just one person…”

― Czesław Miłosz

many hats

will try anything

with multi faceted personality

morning chill brings fog

fall colors portend winter

mother natures sleep

The mind is the key
To a Higher Power I plea

I am but a steward of theUni-verse
Deigned not to do the perverse

Mother nature to protect
Nor my body to neglect

Acknowledging that the soul dwells
beautifully adorned in light pastels

In the heart of all who pray
For however long or short their stay

The mind is the enigma
Choices are what grow the stigma

The mind must humbly respect
So that the body and soul will reflect

A life that could not be any greater
A life that is worthy of the Creator
