Forbidden To See

.

“For now,

poetry has the capacity –

in its own ways and

by its own means –

to remind us of something

we are forbidden to see.”

tropical storm floods

too many paved parking lots

nature always wins

Poem:

.

to my brother
from another mother
better than a best friend
dude like no other

together to the end
over backwards I would bend
always there in a pinch
a helping hand to lend

willing to give an inch
generous without a flinch
love it when you call me sonny
forever making my life a cinch

would you be my honey bunny
could you lend me some money
what do you mean  – – friend
I was just trying to be funny
