“I’m not lost
for I know
where I am.
But however,
where I am
may be lost.”

lost
can’t find
out of sight
nowhere to be seen
misplaced

a contented smile
mother contemplates her child
God’s purpose fulfilled
.
Poem:
.
even with all of your flaws, I love you
hope you love me too, warts and all
together, every day is something new
always glad to be at your beck and call
content to tolerate life’s ups and downs
seeing how others work things through
always willing to bring in the clowns
demanding more than just to make do
you are the answer to my prayer
an angel sent from heaven above
giving someone a life to share
knowing what it means to love
you will be forever in my heart
life or death can never take us apart

‘Writing is like sex.
First you do it for love,
then you do it for your friends,
and then you do it for money.”

watching the grass grow
one of nature’s miracles
interdependent
cows rummage and produce milk
humans steal it to nourish
.
Poem:
.
a babbling brook fed by melting snow
reflecting silver from the full moon’s glow
the nightingale’s song providing harmony
the hoot owls rhythm fitting in perfectly
nature does abhor man’s interference
his scars diminishing her appearance
burning and plowing causing a blight
pollution blocking the vital sunlight
man’s forest of concrete and steel
dams, locks and levees most surreal
environmentalist fighting a losing battle
money confusing the issue with psychobabble
prognosticators using the magic eight ball
only God really knows what will befall
let’s live today to its fullest potential
put generosity first, that is essential
be kind, be loving, be patient and tolerant
allow your Higher Power to be preponderant
repeating the prayers from a bended knee
living a life; happy, joyous and free
