Nobody, I think,
ought to read poetry,
or look at pictures or statues,
who cannot find a great deal
more in them than the poet
or artist has actually expressed.
Their highest merit is suggestiveness.

Poem:
.
does God have a heart
does He think and feel
is He above being smart
is He really, really, real
why does everything have an opposite
will good possibly overcome evil
could hate or love predominate
shall man ever learn to be civil
if we had the answers
would it matter anyways
everything succumbs to cancers
does God count in days
is this life to be enjoyed ? ? ?
if so, ignore the answers and questions
know that the end we cannot avoid
and just follow mothers directions

“One breath
taken completely;
one poem,
fully written,
fully read –
in such a moment,
anything can happen.”

Poem:
.
in the blink of an eye
lightning split the sky
the thunder however
rolled on and on forever
the smell of ozone lingered
another flash answered
rain drops began their pitter patter
to the ducks it doesn’t really matter
like clockwork the afternoon showers arrive
grass, flowers, weeds, growing in overdrive
the deluge over, the humidity swells
pleasant gardens adorned with cockleshells
did mankind really evolve
another question we may never solve
so many questions, so few answers
are we creating our own cancers
let it rain, let it shine
just stand in awe of the worlds design
