“For my part
I know nothing
with any certainty,
but the sight
of the stars
makes me dream.”

Poem:
.
can you believe the noise of the universe
man’s interference only making it worse
short wave, long wave, the queens wave
man has just crawled out of his cave
reality is faced with a population explosion
global warming is creating an implosion
crocodile tears for the next generation
hope they can find a cure for stagflation
maybe they will just invent another word
how many flavors can they add to bean curd
the future is a question without an answer
history is the story of the gandy dancer
today is the future and history rolled into one
ignore the questions and go have some fun

a bit tamed,
I too am
untranslatable,
I sound my barbaric yawp
over the roofs of the world.”

Poem: Rondeau
.
A (R) who could ask for anything more
A no need to keep score
B a soul who is a true friend
B beside you to the end
A an oath you both swore
A hanging together was never a chore
A excursions a subject of local lore
B one on whom you could always depend
R who could ask for anything more
A a mate willing to pull his own oar
A a buddy to pick you up from the floor
B for the best in life we all intend
B never ever a reason to pretend
A kindred spirits together they soar
R who could ask for anything more
