A Hundred Flowers

the gladdest thing

under the sun!

I will touch

a hundred flowers

and not pick one.”

Poem:

the fearful little child
climbed the mountain
braved the unknown wild
his youth was a flowing fountain

time, time, time, passed by
responsibilities took their toll
many years pass in the blink of an eye
sometimes with, often, without a soul

held by a disease that kept him captive
he lived a life that was in constant jeopardy
his reflections clouded by an impure motive
guilt and remorse further twisted the memory

a God incident showed him the way
how to live with a backward  brain
a fellowship that taught him to pray
the miracle, a new life for him to gain

time for him has begun to slow down
the joy of living,  one day at a time
