Before The Break Of Day

.

“Oh! That was poetry!”

said Pippin.

“Do you really mean

to start before

the break of day?”

cynical

can’t believe

a sneering incredulity

derisive comments delivering harm

sarcastic

Haiku:

brilliant star lit night

are other worlds out there

God speaks in silence

Poem:

.

how insignificant man is
here today, gone tomorrow
there are no answers to the quiz
best to just go with the flow

the closer we get to how it works
the nearer we are to self destruction
self will just one of man’s many quirks
will creation survive deconstruction

think positive, enjoy the moment
control is limited to one’s attitude
keep praying for God’s atonement
think of the now as a pleasant interlude

happiness is proportional to acceptance
kindness is the foundation of love
know that the present enjoys your attendance
faith,  there really is a design from above
