Well-timed Silence

.

“Well-timed

silence

hath more

eloquence

than speech.”

.

~ Martin Farquhar Tupper

.

Elfje:         (Cinquain)    classic: each word only one syllable

.

calm

no noise

a soft hush

a place to sit

still

.

Lune:    5 / 3 / 5

.

God speaks in silence

meditate

listen to His word

.

Poem:

.

another lost moment in time
my ego became misplaced in the rhyme
a pregnant pause is not a well timed silence
wise are those who use God for guidance

why worry, most things forgotten don’t matter
if necessary God will put it on your platter
remember to sort your wants from your needs
even mustard comes from the smallest seeds

time spent wisely is usually with others
problems solved by a band of brothers
most important is to show up when promised
usually remembered when one is honest

today, take the time to do something nice
always done when following your own advice
