Writing Well

“Writing well

is the best

revenge.”

.

~  Dorothy Parker

.

.

Elfje:            (Cinquain)     classic: each word only one syllable

.

pick

don’t grab

make it quick

catch what you can

choose

.

Senryu:      5-7-5 ( Haiku with people and their emotions/feelings as a topic)

.

you can pick your love

will your choice pick you to love

whose heart gets broken

.

Poem:

.

you can’t win if you don’t play
can we treat life like a child’s game
are you a color or are you a bouquet
is there really something in a name

the clouds diminished into rainbows
the seasons came and went
clover in all colors covers the meadows
in nature nothing is ever spent

so many questions and so few answers
discovered today, obsolete tomorrow
does love motivate flamenco dancers
can eyes wide open see a peep show

I’m so content to ask the question
please, just don’t ask me for the answer
