Succeed

.

“Success is

counted sweetest

by those

ne’er succeed.”

.

― Emily Dickinson

.

Elfje:            (Cinquain)

.

small

not microscopic

somewhere in between

smaller than a breadbox

little

.

Senryu:      5-7-5 ( Haiku with people and their emotions/feelings as a topic)

.

fear creates bigot

one who can never be wrong

your opinion sucks

.

Poem:

.

switch gears
change your mind
let go of fears
let yesterday behind
no more tears
to ugly be blind

focus on love
let the sunshine in
do forgiveness a lot of
kindness is a win win
seek guidance from above
never ever sin

to the ignorant show patience
the best medicine is a good laugh
to the stupid extend tolerance
happiest are those who only take half
perfection is to seek the balance
warrant what will be an honest epitaph

relax
meditate
enjoy life to the max
let karma dictate your fate
let every ending be a happy climax
life should, could and can be great

The Most Vivid

.

“Poetry is only the

highest eloquence of passion,

the most vivid form of expression

that can be given to our

conception of anything,

whether pleasurable or painful,

mean or dignified,

delightful or distressing.”

.

~ William Hazlitt

sleep

sweet child

visions of sugarplums

dancing in your head

lullaby

.

Haiku:

.

hope springs eternal

winter succumbs to the sun

spring burst through the snow

.

Poem:

.

the optimist sees happy
pulling peppermint taffy
strolling the boardwalk by the sea
laughs and giggles snorted with glee
banter returned with a sally
sights and sounds enjoyed for free

one should not take themselves too seriously
however, demeanor should be held virtuously
always choose the perfect time to be silly
your opinion is the only one that counts, really
retribution is no reason to be an offender
usually better to be and equal rights defender

flights of fancy with no rhyme or reason
kindness and love need no season
stream of conscious not written in prose
picture the aroma of a perfect red rose
sometimes it is good to let the poem think
fear can push anyone over the brink

marshmallow clouds served for lunch
having fun is always a good hunch
forever chasing the proverbial rainbows
enjoying life from from toes to nose
getting sloppy wet kisses from a puppy
the optimist always sees the happy
