lost love leads to a heartbreak

Poem:
.
clear the noisy mind
leave the negative far behind
learn to love the silence
seek emotional balance
enjoy life one day at a time
never average, always the sublime
simply high on life, avoiding the chaos
for others misfortune a real pathos
don’t just practice being kind
share with others your peace of mind
make sure your love is unconditional
never a fake, really, truly convincible
for the ignorant, patience and tolerance
for the stupid a heart felt sufferance
no resentments allowed, know that forgiveness heals
a contrite heart to the world appeals
be the person your God wants you to be
the soul that is happy, joyous and free

Poem:
.
God grant me some patience and tolerance
to find a place in a social distancing audience
a curmudgeon in recovery can still think of others
can they be brothers from different mothers
as one gets older do you forget your manners
do parents no longer teach social standards
sorry doesn’t cut it, please excuse me
you will not be invited for tea at three
cutting in line, like there won’t be enough
confronted they become filled with huff and puff
a whole generation living off the dole
enough votes to give bad politicians control
Woodstock was a peaceful demonstration
today’s aberration it is nothing but aggravation
looting and arson are not a protest
liberals objecting to the rioters arrest
pray that sanity will someday be restored
that civil unrest will not be ignored
that life again may start moving forward
a peace and calm will be the reward
