some talk to hear themselves talk
some chatter because they fear the silence
the noise doesn’t help them walk the walk
emotionally there is no balance
it is not the words spoken
it is the actions that count
all riders need a token
many quandaries to surmount
life is to grow up and change
become the best person you can be
many priorities we must rearrange
not me but you will be the key
seeking happy, joyous and free
serenity and peace of mind
when sobriety adorns your marquee
recovery is what you will find.
