some sad, some happy, most just boring
genre is what writers call categories
imagination is the mind exploring

romance, mystery, western, horror
is a book about history really nonfiction
can we believe a diary from the explorer
writing for many is just an addiction

poetry gives one the ability to fabricate
blue, black, purple, no need to color the lie
the author always wins his own debate
choose your own flavor for the pie in the sky

today I am the hero, tomorrow the goat
a wonderful life lived by my own anecdote

the whole world becomes satisfying
all things glow with a rosy reflection

passions arise which are gratifying
a steadfast devotion which is undying
love will give you the chance
don’t doubt, believe in the mystifying

love does not arrive by happenstance
God’s design includes all circumstance
