“Logic,
when applied
to people,
fails miserably!”
.
― Joseph J. Breunig 3rd

Elfje:
.
theories
scientific law
instinctive human nature
cedes to female perrogative
illogical
.
Haiku:
.
morning dew collects
snail trails across the sidewalk
frosty breath says fall
.
.
Poem:
.
Seeking to inspire
Striving to be the best
Fulfilling the soul’s desire
Living life with zest
When you have the gratitude
Accepting of God’s grace
Life is just an attitude
Best done with a straight face
However, today, you can smile
It never hurts once in awhile.

“The only thing
that can save the world
is the reclaiming of the
awareness of the world.
That’s what poetry does.”
.
~ Allen Ginsberg

Elfje:
.
bright
warm feeling
clouds gently billow
plants nod in agreement
sun
.
Haiku: (traditional 5-7-5 )
.
wind gently whispers
nature calls for attention
all senses aroused
.
Haiku: (modern 6-5-6)
.
wobbly earth fluctuates
species come and go
global warming happens
.
POEM:
does the world need to be saved
my mortality really doesn’t care
legacies belong to the depraved
my garden feeds the birds and the bees
does nature notice that I am aware
will all be erased by another disease
can my poem be the lighthouse
will artificial intelligence become god
do universities create the theories to espouse
few are the souls who salvation is craved
is there anything that is not flawed
does the world need to be saved.
