the school stood quiet, summer vacation
the heavy air set a pace that was very slow
the old man on the bench was in meditation
cows were lying in the nearby meadow

peace and quiet, no worry, no strife
pictures of Tom Sawyer in a dream
oh lucky enough to live such an idyllic life
every meal ending with peaches and cream

time to let the imagination run wild
a reason not to forget the inner child
