what I am saying
may not be what I’m thinking
if you only knew
beating around the big bush
intentionally deceived

Poem:

living a dream
merrily rowing upstream
living a fairytale
forever chasing the holy grail
perpetually stalking illusions
thinking about not growing old
“whatever” is my cup of tea
maybe it will be filled with fool’s gold
reality check
the spaceship has landed
could we be a smaller speck
let your imagination be expanded
knowing that our lives are but a blip in time
understanding that even the powerful made a very small dent
before they know it most have passed their prime
for some each day is one entire event
for the older souls time is but a blur
is evolution the path of least resistance
can or will a world peace ever occur
will there ever be a meaning to our existence
firstly, are we asking the right question
will there ever be a lasting impression
seeking the answers propels us forward
what is , is what a Higher Power has ordered

Poem:
.
can the man write if he has no talent
can the man sing if he has no song
did anyone notice that the church bells are silent
why does the news concentrate on the wrong
when Dr. Peale died so did positive thinking
the mega congregations reap their millions
the liberals give while the coffers are shrinking
who gave talking heads the right to opinions
the pendulum swings from side to side
the tolerant and the bigot argue their points
public sentiment goes along for the ride
reality and fantasy seek separate disjoints
will there ever be a middle of the road
can man find peace among the discord
will it be possible to have an equitable civil code
can we all agree on what to call our Lord
what would happen if we all knelt to pray
would the universe give us all the same karma
would we be required to put it in our dossier
can we measure up to the varied vara
think optimistic, be the solution, be perfect
the Great Creator has made no junk
surprise, don’t do what others expect
you may even make a pet out of a skunk
have faith
where would the world be without hope
